Knowing God

Thank you for being curious enough to find this page on our website. There is a person who knows everything about you, even that you would be reading this today before you ever arrived. Generically, we call him God. He is the master architect of the universe and he made all the people who ever lived from one blood. He is entirely distinct from the people he made because he is so powerful and knowledgeable. As such a distinct person, he justly requires us to live by his rules. But there is trouble. As if the original differences were not enough, the very first man he created rebelled against him--and so did all the rest of us. Because he is so unlike us, it should come as no surprise that our rebellion against him resulted in the unleashing of his fury on us. That is the bad news. The good news is that he has also provided a way to have the lost fellowship restored. As the story of this one true and living God unfolds, you see that he really exists as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Son of God (or God the Son, Messiah Jesus) willingly humbled himself, took on a human (though sinless) body and absorbed in himself the wrath of his Father toward sin. He died in the place of rebels. But he burst from his grave in a body that will never die again. The work is done. Following the study of the book of Romans on this site is a great way to find out the way God demands we relate to him. There is a sure refuge for you, but you must come his way. Run to him. Throw yourself on his abundant mercy. Start with this short study.
